SCOPE OF APPLICATION

This Privacy Policy applies only to the collection and processing of personal information that UON CONSULTING, either directly responsible for data processing or as a subcontractor, needs to do to respond to information requests from data owners, or of its customers that subcontract with it, and deliver UON CONSULTING products and services.

UON CONSULTING deals only with the personal data strictly necessary for the fulfilment of legal and regulatory obligations to conclude, manage and execute the contracts arising from its own activity, organization and internal management, for example, risk management and the combat fraud, either directly or as subcontractor.

ENTITY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PROCESSING

UON CONSULTING is responsible for collecting and processing the USER’S personal information, either directly or as a subcontractor, deciding, in any of the qualities, the categories of such data, the way in which it is to be processed and the ends to which it is to be put.

TYPE OF DATA COLLECTED

In the provision of services, directly or while subcontracted, UON CONSULTING deals with the treatment of several categories of personal data, such as: name, surname, contact details and other information. Once your consent has been obtained, this information will be processed in a legally acceptable manner, which includes storing it on a properly secure and protected database. Under no circumstances will it be used for any purposes other than those for which your consent has been obtained.

The personal data collected by UON CONSULTING is used in managing of activities necessary to provide the service of UON CONSULTING (Real Estate, Machinery, Automobile, Claims Management and Forensic), directly or as subcontracted.

UON CONSULTING will request your consent for the processing of personal data in the case of communications for the purposes of direct marketing or other forms of prospecting or personalized promotional actions.

The USER that wishes to stop receiving our promotional communications, can do it at any time, simply by following the instructions in all promotional messages or alternatively sending an email to compliance.pt@uongroup.com, saying they do not wish to receive more promotional communications.

STORAGE TIME

UON CONSULTING stores and holds the data for the time that we deem sufficient and necessary for the purposes for which the data was collected and processed. However, the time for which the data is stored varies as a function of the purpose for which the data was processed. There may be a legal requirement to keep data for a minimum period of time, after which it will be deleted.

DATA HOLDER RIGHTS

With regard to the processing of your personal data, you have the following rights: (i) Right of access; (ii) Right of rectification; (iii) Right to erasure; (iv) Right to limit treatment; (v) Right of portability; (vi) Right of opposition; (vii) Right not to be subject to exclusively automated individual decisions: (viii) Right to withdraw consent, in the case of treatment based solely on consent; (ix) Right to complain to the supervisory authority.

These same channels can be used whenever you have any doubts about the treatment that UON CONSULTING makes of your personal data, or of the information that was provided to you, as well as in case of questions related to the treatment of your personal data, or with the exercise of their rights.

For confidentiality and security reasons, we only respond to submitted requests for emails that we have registered. We will follow up the requests as soon as possible and in accordance with the applicable legal regime.

UON CONSULTING implements a range of technical and organisational security measures to ensure that all personal data in our possession is kept secure. COMMUNICATION OF DATA TO OTHER ENTITIES (THIRD AND SUBCONTRACTED)
UON CONSULTING may resort to third parties for the provision of certain services, at the level of maintenance, technical support or marketing, which may have access to some of the personal data, namely, the data needed for contractual purposes.

UON CONSULTING may communicate its personal data to third parties provided that, to that end, it has obtained unequivocally the consent of the USER or even when:

a) the transmission is made in the context of the fulfilment of a legal obligation, a decision by the National Data Protection Commission or a judicial or
b) the communication is carried out to protect the vital interests of the Data Holders or any other legitimate purpose provided by law.

UON CONSULTING takes the appropriate measures, in order to ensure that the entities that have access to the data, are reputed and offer the highest guarantees in terms of data protection, which will be duly enshrined and safeguarded in a contract to be signed between the UON CONSULTING and the third entity (ies).

Accordingly, any entity subcontracted by UON CONSULTING will treat personal data collected and processed, in the name and on behalf of UON CONSULTING, in the obligation to adopt the necessary technical and organizational measures in order to protect personal data against destruction, accidental or illicit, accidental loss, alteration, dissemination or unauthorized access and any other form of illicit treatment.
In any case, UON CONSULTING remains responsible for the personal data collected.

DATA TRANSFER

If data is to be transferred to third countries that are not members of the European Union or the European Economic Area, UON CONSULTING, whether acting directly or as a subcontractor, will comply with any relevant legislation. This duty of care will apply to the suitability of the personal information protection structures in the destination country and to any requirements applicable to such transfers. Personal information will not be transferred to jurisdictions that do not guarantee an appropriate level of security and protection.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

UON CONSULTING reserves the right at any time to adjust or amend this Privacy Policy. Therefore, we advise you to consult the website www.uongroup.com, where this information will be updated at all times.
